Meet Pete

Democrat for Anne Arundel County Council District 1

As a former councilmember, Pete worked to secure and pass funding for what would become the Severn Intergenerational Center. Today Pete works with local leaders community partners to support the district.

Anne Arundel County has been my home for most of my adult life. It’s where I bought my first house. It’s where my kids were born and attend school. It’s where my employment and service to this country continues while working on Fort Meade. It’s where I have had the opportunity to serve as the District 1, Council representative previously. This County and District has given me everything I could ever want. It’s why I continue to support the various communities and neighborhoods that define it.

For the past Twenty-Four years, I have served in the United States Marine Corps and am currently a Major in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. While on active duty, I was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Camp Lejeune, NC; Iwakuni, Japan and most recently, Fort Meade, MD. In addition to my service in the Marine Corps I previously served 6 years as your Councilman for District 1. During my time on the Council, I worked to pass legislation requiring county casino revenue to be placed in a separate fund for oversight and transparency. Additionally during my tenure, I supported and passed funding for what would become the Severn intergenerational Facility, a community center for the County’s underserved community. Currently I serve as the senior program manager with US Cyber Command. My service extends into the community as I have the privilege to serve as a board member for a number of institutions including Chrysalis House, Anne Arundel community College, and Baltimore Washington Medical Center. I have a heart of service and a record that speaks to my dedication for the district. I hope I can count on your support continue to be an advocate for this community.
